Mp3hz – Privacy Policy

Mp3hz ("we," "our," or "the app") is developed and published by 1kbapps. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

Mp3hz is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. Specifically:

• No personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number is collected.
• No account or login is required to use the app.
• No usage analytics or tracking tools are integrated into the app.
• No advertising SDKs or ad networks are used.

2. Data Usage

Mp3hz converts video files (MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, M4V) to high-quality audio (M4A) directly on your device. All processing happens entirely on-device. The app accesses your video files solely for the purpose of audio extraction and conversion. No video or audio data is uploaded, shared, or transmitted to any server.

3. Data Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Conversion history: A record of your converted files (file name, size, quality, date) is stored on-device for your convenience in the Library tab.
• Converted audio files: Output audio files are saved to your device's local storage.
• Conversion count: A simple counter is stored locally to track the number of free conversions used.
• Subscription status: Your purchase status is managed entirely through Apple's StoreKit framework and is not stored on any external server.

We do not have access to any of this data. It remains entirely on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

Mp3hz uses the following third-party services:

• Apple StoreKit: Used to process in-app purchases (subscriptions). All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles your purchase data.

No other third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are used.

5. Analytics

Mp3hz does not use any analytics tools or crash reporting services. We do not track your usage, behaviour, or interactions within the app.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. All data generated by the app is stored locally on your device and can be managed or deleted by you at any time by:

• Deleting converted files from within the app or from the Files app.
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data including conversion history and preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

Mp3hz is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the app does not collect personal data from any user, it is inherently compliant with children's privacy regulations such as COPPA.

How to Use Mp3hz

1. Import a video: Tap the + button on the home screen and choose a video from your Photo Library or Files app. Supported formats include MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and M4V.
2. Choose audio quality: Select your preferred output quality — Good (128k), Better (256k), or Best (320k).
3. Convert: Tap "Convert to MP3" and wait for the conversion to complete. All processing happens on-device.
4. Preview, share, or save: Once the conversion is done, you can preview the audio, share it with other apps, or save it to your Files.
5. Conversion history: View all your past conversions in the Library tab. Tap any item to preview, share, or save it again.

Mp3hz offers 3 free conversions to get you started. After that, you can unlock unlimited conversions and premium features by subscribing to one of our plans:

Restoring Purchases

If you've previously subscribed and your premium status isn't showing, go to the subscription screen and tap "Restore Purchase". This will sync your subscription status with the App Store.

Managing Your Subscription

Your subscription is managed through Apple. To cancel or modify your subscription:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Find Mp3hz and manage or cancel your plan.

Troubleshooting

• Conversion fails: Ensure the video file has an audio track. Some screen recordings or silent videos may not contain audio data.
• "Insufficient storage" error: Free up space on your device and try again.
• App crashes or freezes: Make sure you are running the latest version of Mp3hz and iOS. Restart the app and try again.
