mov4hz is made by 1KB Apps. It turns videos into MP4 on this iPhone. Nothing is uploaded during conversion.

Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the app accesses, what stays on the device, and what Apple handles when you buy Pro.

What the app does with your videos

Conversion runs on the device using Apple frameworks. Your source video and the MP4 stay on the iPhone during conversion. We do not operate a server that receives your videos.

Data we access or store on the device

• Photos library. The Scan view in the Library tab asks for Photos access so it can list MOV and MP4 videos already on this iPhone. Home can also import a video you pick with the system picker, which does not need library access. With Pro, Save to Photos adds a copy of a converted MP4 to your photo library. The first time, iOS asks for add-only access, which lets the app add videos but not read your library.
• Files you pick. If you import from Files, the app reads that file to convert it.
• Local settings. Onboarding, paywall-seen, preview count, and Pro status cache are stored on the device with UserDefaults.
• Conversion history. Names, sizes, and file references for conversions in Library are stored on the device. The MP4 files themselves are stored in the app’s Documents folder and are not shown in the Files app.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect accounts, names, or emails inside the app.
• We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking.
• We do not send videos to an AI or cloud converter.
• We do not use a third-party subscription SDK. Purchases use Apple StoreKit 2.

Apple App Store

If you buy Weekly or Yearly, Apple processes the payment. Apple may handle purchase records under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not store card details.

Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Network use

Conversion works offline. The internet is used for App Store product prices, purchase, restore, opening this page, Terms of Use, support email, and optional App Store links.

Your controls

• Revoke Photos access in iOS Settings. Home import from Photos (system picker) and Files still work.
• Delete conversions in the app Library, or uninstall the app to remove local app data.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from Settings in the app when Pro is active.

Children

mov4hz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new date.

How it works

How do I convert a video to MP4?

Open the app. On Home, pick a video from Photos or Files, or open Library → Scan to find MOV and MP4 videos already in Photos. MP4 files and converted videos show MP4 in green. Choose Medium, High, or Lossless. Tap Convert to MP4. Watch the result on this iPhone.

What quality options are there?

• Medium — smaller file, faster.
• High — more detail, takes longer.
• Lossless — no re-encode; same bits in an MP4 container when the source allows it.

Processing and preview versus Pro

Processing and preview are free. An active subscription is required to save, share, or export.

Quality presets and the Photos scanner are part of converting on this iPhone.

Pro unlocks:

• Save the MP4 to Photos
• Save the MP4 to Files
• Share the MP4 from the share sheet
• Restore Pro on any iPhone with the same Apple ID

There is no conversion cap. Pro is save and share.

Where is the MP4 saved?

After conversion you can preview it in the app. With Pro, Save to Photos adds a copy to your photo library, Save to Files puts a copy where you choose, and Share sends it through the iOS share sheet.

Does it work offline?

Yes for conversion. You need a connection for purchase, restore, and opening web links.

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases, or use Restore on the paywall. Pro must be on the Apple ID signed into the App Store on that iPhone.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

On an iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. In the app, when Pro is active, Settings → Manage subscription opens the same Apple sheet.

Does the app follow Dark Mode?

Yes. mov4hz follows the iPhone’s appearance by default. In Settings → Appearance you can choose Light, Dark, or System and one of four color themes. Your choice is saved on this iPhone only.

Is my data private?

Conversion stays on this iPhone. Videos are not uploaded. We do not run analytics on your usage.

• You are responsible for having the right to convert any video you pick.
• Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple and follow Apple’s terms.
• Weekly and Yearly auto-renew until you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
