mov4hz is made by 1KB Apps. It turns MOV videos into MP4 on this iPhone. Nothing is uploaded during conversion.

Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the app accesses, what stays on the device, and what Apple handles when you buy Pro.

What the app does with your videos

Conversion runs on the device using Apple frameworks. Your source video and the MP4 stay on the iPhone during conversion. We do not operate a server that receives your videos.

Data we access or store on the device

• Photos library. The app asks for Photos access so it can find and import videos already on this iPhone. Converted MP4s are not written back to Photos. You save with Save to Files or the share sheet.
• Files you pick. If you import from Files, the app reads that file to convert it.
• Local settings. Theme (Dark, Light, System), onboarding, and similar preferences are stored on the device with UserDefaults.
• Conversion history. Names, sizes, and file references for conversions you kept in the app are stored on the device.
• Preview count. A local count is stored on the device. It is not a conversion cap. Convert and watch stay available without Pro.
• Pro status cache. A local flag remembers whether Pro is active so the UI is correct on launch. The App Store is the source of truth.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect accounts, names, or emails inside the app.
• We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking.
• We do not send videos to an AI or cloud converter.
• We do not use a third-party subscription SDK. Purchases use Apple StoreKit.

Apple App Store

If you buy Weekly, Yearly, or Lifetime, Apple processes the payment. Apple may handle purchase records under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not store card details.

Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.

Network use

Conversion works offline. The internet is used for App Store product prices, purchase, restore, opening this page, Terms of Use, support email, and optional App Store links.

Your controls

• Revoke Photos access in iOS Settings.
• Delete conversions in the app Library, or uninstall the app to remove local app data.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings or the App Store.

Children

mov4hz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new date.

How it works

How do I convert a MOV to MP4?

Open the app. On Home, pick a video from Photos or Files, or use Scan to find videos already in Photos. Choose Medium, High, or Lossless. Tap Convert to MP4. Watch the result on this iPhone.

What quality options are there?

• Medium — smaller file, faster.
• High — more detail, takes longer.
• Lossless — no re-encode; same bits in an MP4 container when the source allows it.

There is no Low preset and no default-quality setting in Settings.

What is free? What is Pro?

Convert and watch without paying. Quality presets and the Photos scanner are part of converting on this iPhone.

Pro unlocks:

• Save the MP4 to Files
• Share the MP4 from the share sheet
• Restore Pro on any iPhone with the same Apple ID

There is no conversion cap. Pro is not “unlimited conversions.” It is save and share.

Where is the MP4 saved?

After conversion you can preview it in the app. With Pro, Save to Files puts a copy where you choose, or Share sends it through the iOS share sheet. The app does not save converted files into Photos.

Does it work offline?

Yes for conversion. You need a connection for purchase, restore, and opening web links.

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases, or use Restore Purchase on the paywall. Pro must be on the Apple ID signed into the App Store on that iPhone.

Is there duplicate detection?

No. This app converts MOV to MP4. It does not find or delete duplicate videos.

How do I change the theme?

Settings → Appearance: Dark, Light, or System.

Is my data private?

Conversion stays on this iPhone. Videos are not uploaded. We do not run analytics on your usage.
