HiConvert - Privacy Policy and Support

HiConvert is developed by 1KB Apps. This policy explains how HiConvert handles data when you convert HEIC photos to JPG or PNG.

Data Collection

HiConvert processes HEIC and HEIF images locally on your device. Imported photos, previews, and converted JPG or PNG files do not leave your device during conversion.

Data We Collect

• Photo Library Access: HiConvert accesses your photo library to scan for HEIC images, import them for conversion, and save converted JPG or PNG images when you choose Save to Photos.
• Local App Settings: Appearance, default format (including the choice you make during onboarding), and onboarding progress are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. HiConvert does not keep a history of your conversions.
• Subscription Status: RevenueCat and the App Store provide purchase and subscription status so HiConvert can unlock saving, exporting, and sharing when you hold Weekly or Lifetime access.

Data Usage

Photo access is used only to import the images you select and to save the converted files you request. Settings are used only to apply your chosen defaults. Subscription status is used only to determine whether saving, exporting, and sharing are unlocked.

Data Storage

• All HEIC to JPG and PNG conversion happens locally on your device.
• Converted files are saved to Photos, exported to Files, or shared only when you explicitly choose one of those actions.
• Temporary working files may be created during conversion and are stored locally on-device.
• No image library, converted file, or personal media is uploaded to our servers.

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat

HiConvert uses RevenueCat only for purchase handling, restore purchases, SDK initialization, and subscription status through Apple App Store receipts.

Apple App Store

All billing, payment processing, pricing, and product configuration are handled by Apple through the App Store.

Analytics

HiConvert does not use third-party analytics or ad tracking SDKs.

User Rights

You remain in control of your data:

• You can revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings.
• You can delete saved exports from Photos or Files at any time.
• You can manage or cancel Weekly access through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

HiConvert is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.

Conversion runs on-device. No analytics, ad tracking, or cloud image processing.

What does HiConvert do?

HiConvert converts HEIC and HEIF photos to JPG or PNG. On Home, tap Import HEIC photo and choose Photos or Files, or open the Library tab to scan for HEIC photos. Choose JPG Small, JPG Best, or PNG Lossless, then tap Convert to JPG or Convert to PNG.

What can I preview, and what requires Pro?

You can scan your library, import HEIC images, choose output settings, and preview the converted result. Saving to Photos, exporting to Files, and sharing the converted output require Pro: a Weekly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase.

Which formats are supported?

• Input: HEIC and HEIF
• Output: JPG and PNG

Where are converted files saved?

Converted files are only saved when you choose Save to Photos, Export to Files, or Share. HiConvert never saves exports automatically.

How do I subscribe to Pro?

Open the paywall from the Get Pro button or from a locked Save, Export, or Share action. Choose Weekly or Lifetime, then confirm with your Apple Account. Prices show in your local currency before you confirm.

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases. If your Apple ID holds valid Weekly or Lifetime access, HiConvert refreshes your Pro status.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose HiConvert, then change or cancel. Weekly access remains active until the end of the current period.

Does HiConvert work offline?

Yes. Image conversion and preview generation work entirely on-device. A connection is only needed when Apple or RevenueCat must verify purchases or restore access.

Why is saving or sharing locked?

HiConvert lets you test, scan, and preview before you subscribe. Exporting the converted JPG or PNG file requires Pro. This includes saving to Photos, exporting to Files, and sharing.

The photo will not import. What should I try?

• Confirm the file is HEIC or HEIF. Other formats are not supported for import.
• Allow photo access in iPhone Settings when prompted, then try the import again.
• Try a different photo or import from Files instead of Photos.
• Relaunch the app and try one photo at a time.

Conversion failed. What should I try?

• Try the photo again. Temporary memory pressure can interrupt a single conversion.
• Try a smaller preset such as JPG Small.
• Restart the app and convert one photo at a time.

Is my data private?

Yes. Original HEIC images and converted files stay on your device. Conversion uses native Apple frameworks on-device.

Terms of Use

HiConvert follows Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

By using HiConvert, you agree to use the app only as permitted by Apple's Standard EULA. You are responsible for ensuring you hold permission to convert any image you import. Weekly and Lifetime purchases are sold and managed through Apple.
