Privacy Policy
Overview
Audjio ("we", "our", or "the app") is a native iOS app that lets you import, merge, and export audio files entirely on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
1. Data We Collect
Audjio is designed with a privacy-first approach. The app does not collect, upload, or transmit your audio files to any server. All audio processing happens locally on your device using Apple's AVFoundation framework.
We collect or process the following limited data:
- Usage preferences – Your chosen export format (M4A, WAV, AIFF, ALAC), audio quality setting, and app appearance theme are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device.
- Free session count – The number of merge sessions you have used under the free plan is tracked locally on your device only.
- Subscription status – Whether you are a free or Pro subscriber is verified and cached locally via RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services below).
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not access, store, or upload your audio files.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or ad tracking.
- We do not use Apple Intelligence or any AI/ML APIs to process your content.
- We do not collect crash reports or analytics beyond what Apple provides through App Store Connect's standard aggregated diagnostics.
3. How Audio Files Are Handled
When you select audio files, Audjio reads them locally using iOS security-scoped access. Merged output files are written to a temporary working directory on your device. Temporary session files older than 48 hours are automatically deleted by the app. Your merged files are only saved to your permanent storage or shared externally when you explicitly choose to do so.
4. Third-Party Services
Audjio uses one third-party service:
- RevenueCat – Used to manage in-app subscriptions and verify purchase entitlements. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase event data as part of its service. No audio files or personal identifiers are shared with RevenueCat. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks are used in this app.
5. Frameworks & Technologies Used
- AVFoundation – Apple's native framework used for all audio reading, composition, and export. All processing is on-device.
- SwiftUI & UIKit – Apple's native UI frameworks used to build the app interface.
- StoreKit – Apple's native in-app purchase framework used for review requests and purchase flows.
- RevenueCat SDK – Third-party subscription management library (see above).
- The app does not use Apple Intelligence, Core ML, or any AI/ML processing.
6. Children's Privacy
Audjio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, please contact us at support@1kbapps.com.
7. Data Storage & Security
All user preferences and session data are stored locally on your device. Audjio does not operate any servers that store your personal data. Temporary audio session files are stored in the app's sandboxed temporary directory and are automatically cleaned up.
8. Your Rights
Since Audjio does not collect personal data on external servers, there is no remote data to delete or export. All locally stored preferences can be removed by uninstalling the app. If you have any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@1kbapps.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What audio formats does Audjio support for import?
A: Audjio supports all audio formats that iOS can read, including MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, and more. If your device can play it, Audjio can merge it.
Q: What output formats are available?
A: You can export your merged file as M4A (AAC), WAV, AIFF, or ALAC (Apple Lossless). You can set your preferred default format in Settings.
Q: Is audio processing done on my device or in the cloud?
A: All audio merging happens entirely on your device. Your audio files are never uploaded to any server.
Q: How many files can I merge at once?
A: There is no hard limit on the number of files. You can merge as many audio files as you like in a single session.
Q: What is the free plan limit?
A: Free users can complete up to 3 merge sessions. After that, you'll need to upgrade to Audjio Pro for unlimited sessions.
Q: What does Audjio Pro include?
A: Audjio Pro removes the session limit, giving you unlimited audio merge sessions. Pro is available as a weekly or yearly subscription.
Q: How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?
A: Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Q: Where is my merged file saved?
A: After merging, you can share the file directly to Files, AirDrop, or any app using the iOS Share Sheet. Files are not permanently saved within Audjio; you choose where to send them.
Q: Can I cancel a merge in progress?
A: Yes. While a merge is running, you can tap Cancel at any time to stop the process.
Q: The merge failed for one of my files. What happened?
A: If a file has no valid audio track or is in an unsupported or corrupted format, it will be skipped. The result screen will show you which files were processed successfully and which ones failed.
Q: How do I change the app theme?
A: Go to Settings → Appearance → Theme. You can choose Light, Dark, or follow your System setting.
Q: How do I change the default export format or quality?
A: Go to Settings → Export Settings. You can set your preferred output format (M4A, WAV, AIFF, ALAC) and M4A quality level (High, Standard, etc.).
Q: Does Audjio use any AI features?
A: No. Audjio does not use Apple Intelligence, machine learning, or any AI APIs. All audio processing is done with Apple's standard AVFoundation framework.
